I was told that if I rubbed my strectch marks with pumice, it would help them go away. Instead they are now red and sting when I touch them. I did it gently, but now I’m afraid I made my stretch marks look worse.

Unfort. there is no way of removing your stretch marks. Creams and all that don’t really work so don’t waste your money. They are tears in the deepest layers of your skin, and you did irritate yourself for nothing. Leave it alone and let it heal. Moisturize with some good old fashion stuff because dry skin makes them more noticable and just try to avoid getting more of them by maintaining good exercise, diet, and not wearing very tight clothing, drinking lots of water. Mostly, don’t worry about them. Everyone has them, no one is really looking. You know what they say about casting the first stone after all… :)
