I have dark all around my eyes when I don’t wear makeup. I think it’s caused because of the make up I have been wearing for years? I sleep very well so I know it cant be that for sure! How can I get rid of the dark circles so I will look more natural and not look scary with those dark circles.

Lay two thin slices of potato underneath yours eyes for 10 minutes.
Potatoes contain a skin-lightening enzyme that helps temporarily reduce sallowness.
no lie. i just read that article from cosmo and it worked like a charm for me C:
also be sure to not sleep with your makeup on at night. over the years it will make the dark circles worse.

It is quite common to have dark circles under the eyes (black or dark eye circles), but they are usually temporary and can be treated.
* Dark Circles under eyes are generally due to a lack of sleep, fatigue, stress, deficiency or some disease.
* Dark circles may be hereditary.
* Nasal congestion can also cause dark under eye circles.
* Chronic atopic eczema on skin can cause dark circles.
* Dark circles under eyes may also be due to aging which thins the skin around the eyes.
* Eyelid swelling or eye puffiness can produce shadows producing light dark eye circles.

Makeup can’t cause dark circles. They can sometimes be hereditary, in which case you can’t really get rid of them, only slightly improve the appearance. First, try to get t least 8 hours of sleep a night (you said you sleep well but not for how long). Next, drink alot of water and eat alot of fruits, veggies, and whole grains, a good diet it important to skin health. Next, start using an eye cream if you don’t already every night. I like the Body Shop’s vitamin E night cream. If they’re still there after a few weeks of this, they’re probably hereditary and the only thing you can do is use concealor.

Dark cicrles can be caused by a number of things. It’s not from wearing makeup though. They run in my family. My dad, my granny, and all of her sisters have them. I’ve had dark circles since I was born. I can tell you from personal experience, that if they’re hereditary, nothing is going to get rid of them. It’s just excess melanin. I went to a new doctor a while back and as soon as he walked in the room he remarked, “Oh, your allergies must really be bothering you, huh?” And I was like, “No…. I’m here b/c I broke my foot.” And he was like, “Oh, the dark circles around your eyes threw me off.” I thought he was so rude. But anyway, apparently they can be caused by allergies.
I use CoverGirl Aqua smooth as under eye concealer (only thing that works) and I use Bare Minerals over my entire face. They say, “Bare Minerals covers everything!” but that’s a load of crap. You’d have to use a week’s worth to get medium coverage & it’s much too expensive to waste like that. Another tip: Don’t use eye shadow that is lighter than the area under your eyes. It will make your under-eye area appear to be darker.

You can try an eye cream formulated to lighten dark undereye circles. You can also use a bit of concealer to cover the circles only without having to put it on your whole face.

do not wear heavy makeup. just natural stuff like a little concealer and other natural looking stuff. ‘bare minerals’ is a good natural looking brand.
