It’s not fair, I’m getting stretch marks and I hate it! I’ve been rubbing that Palmer’s Cocoa Butter for stretch mmarks on my stomach like everyday, but it’s not working. Does anyone else have this problem and what did you do about it?

I dont know but I too would like to know….lol I used the coco butter as well with both of my pregnancies and I only gained 25 with my first and 30 with my second and still got them my sister who gained a whopping 60 with both of her kids got like 2 on her sides barely even noticable it is so unfair…..but I do hear that after time and alot of tanning they get a lot lighter my kids are 7 and 9 and not to dicourage you but I dont see a change yet ….lol we may have to op for plastic surgery…lol
It’s all about your DNA and genetics. If you are prone to stretch marks (join the club!), you lack a protein that the skin is supposed to make to make it more supple. No amount of lotion will keep a pregnant woman who lacks the protein from getting stretch marks; the sad but true fact. However, rubbing lotion on stretching skin will keep it from itching, so continue to put something on tight skin.
I was also told its hereditary. I’m in the same boat as you except Im allergic to the cocoa butter during pregnancy I always end up with a rash. Something you might like to consider is the scar creams after you have your baby. Keep things moist never let your stomach dry out youll itch it like crazy the more and more it stretches before AND after pregnancy. I scratched until it bleed…..lotion….lotion….lotion! GOOD LUCK!
i know…i feel you…my doctor says they’re not 100%, but they could help a little…my sis says the scretch marks is like my tatoo of being a mother…anyways…the truth is it all depends on women’s skin, we all dont have the same skin, ur skin is probly stays that way and doesnt really scretch so when it scretch, it doesnt know how to blend it, it is like a DRY GUM breaking and it leaves marks, some women have skin that does scretch and is like a gum and they can get big and get back to small without a marks.
It’s all about genetics. The only thing you can do to minimize the stretchmarks is make sure you’re gaining a healthy amount of weight, and continue to lotion up! My sister had terrible stretchmarks, but I’ve been lucky so far *3 weeks to go!*
The Dr told me that they are hereditary. If your mom had them you will most likely have them too. There is nothing you can do to stop them. The Palmer’s and Vitamin E oil will help with the appearance of them.
If what Mystic said is true about the lack of protein thing, you should find out what protein that is, and make sure you get more of it, maybe it will help!?!
I am really not sure but i’d like to know.
yes that happened to me!!! and im preg again im afraid im goin to get more! theres nothing u could do about it.
