I am 7 months pregnant and i am getting stretch marks everywhere. I’ve only gained 9 pounds but i’m still getting a lot of them. I’ve tried using coco butter and avon stretch mark creams to get rid of them but it doesn’t work. Does anyone know any way to get rid of them or at least lighten them up? Thanks for your answers in advance.

the expensive stuff is called maderma. other wise you can look for generic brands of stretch mark/scar reducer at you local department store. but it’s best to wait until the every end. cause if you start trying to reduce the appearance of them now, you’ll only get new ones. i’d just be patient till after you deliver. also if you happen to be from somewhere where there is a bath and body works there is a rub in cream called Lay It On Thick. It’s made with Shey butter, and i find that works much better for my stretch marks than the cocoa butter.
Stretch marks happen when we haven’t got enough collagen and elastin in our skin to allow it to stretch during periods of weight gain, such as pregnancy.
Your stretch marks are a badge of office as your new status as ‘mummy’! But I understand why you don’t like them. Creams and lotions can make your skin more pliable on the surface but to make a real difference to stretch marks we need to go a bit deeper.
Continue to use your moisturing creams during your pregnancy and of course, try to not put on too much weight. AFTER you’ve given birth and your body has had time to recover, you want to look at dermarolling,
Dermarollers encourage the skin to produce collagen and elastin and they’re great for getting rid of smaller stretch marks and improving the look of deeper ones. Dermarolling also allows your moisturising creams to get deeper into the skin.
Hope you have an easy and successful delivery!
There isnt anyway to get rid of them….if you have the genes to get them then you are going to get them. Using coco butter and bio oil will help lighten them up but nothing will make them go away 100%. Time can eventually lighten them to where you wouldnt even be able to hardly tell that you had them. But there isnt anyway to 100% get rid of them.
Don’t listen to anyone/any product that says it can get rid of stretch marks. They are deep, deep scars, and will never fully go away.
My sister used Cocoa butter, and I used nothing, and her stretch marks are worse then mine. It’s all marketing and lies.
After a few years, the scars will turn silver and be less noticeable.
Stretch marks are just something mommies have to go through. And honetsly, men really don’t care.
Mederma that stuff you use to get rid of scares works for stretch marks. Atleast that what it says and it does work on the scars i have a kids tube for my son so if it doesn’t make them go away it will atleast lighten them
Them lotions help prevent stretch marks. Since you already have them its best to wait til after you have the baby and then go to the dermatologist and get some cream. You can’t use it while your pregnant though.
the only real way to get RID (not fade, lighten etc) of them is a tummy tuck.
After baby is born coco butter should lighten them but the scars will always be there.
