Some areas of my face are dry and showing signs of wrinkles does putting lotion help prevent that? Im afraid though it might cause pimples which is worse.

Any lotion that is actually designed for your face should not cause breakouts. To be extra sure, look for a lotion that is oil free. I think Olay makes a lotion that is designed for skin like yours. It has anti-aging ingredients as well as acne fighting ingredients. It sounds like you have combination skin, so if you don’t want to go out and spend money an a fancy lotion, apply what you’re using now to the dry patches on your face only. Use an acne treatment where you are prone to breakouts. The other thing you may want to try is exfoliating at least once a week. It not only helps get rid of dry, dull skin, but it prevents your pores from getting clogged with dead skin cells and dirt. When your pores get clogged, you end up with acne.

I don’t think lotion causes pimples. I put lotion on my face all the time and it doesn’t cause me to get pimples. You might try a special face wash for your type of skin. They have products for dry and wrinkled skin. Try looking into Olay face products. It will probably work much better than lotion.

most of the time it will clot the pores and you have acne, if you see wrinkles, you might need some water based lotion, i know that vitamin E is great for wrinkles and also summer is coming i think you might need to buy some sun block! this product should be good for you!”

If you get a specific type of lotion that prevents that kind of stuff, then yes.
Your skin might be sensitive to the lotion you’re using. Lotion does not cause pimples, and some even prevent them.
Good luck.

It depends on the lotion and if it has perfume in it.

I have found Baby Oil works well, and the J&J companies baby oil does not clog pores.

I know that it causes me pimples whenever I use it. That nasty greasy lotion clogs your pores and you get acne.

It depends on the lotion and how you react to certain things. I know when I use lotion I always get pimples.

Don’t use body lotion. Use some sort of oil-free, won’t-clog-pores lotion.

If your face is dry, it won’t cause pimples. Pimples develop when your face is greasy. The dry skin will absorb the lotion and it won’t be greasy.
